Knee surgery

Knee replacement and other surgery options

If arthritis or knee injury is limiting your everyday activities, and medication (or other conservative treatment) is not giving you the results you want, surgery may provide needed pain relief. and allow you to return to the lifestyle and activities you used to enjoy.

Your doctor can explain the reasons why knee surgery may or may not be right for you. If you both agree it’s a good medical option, he or she will explain what you need to know to prepare for the surgery, how the surgery will be performed, and what you can expect once you’re up and moving again.

There are two types of surgery that can relieve your pain; arthroscopy or total knee replacement.
