Settling in at home
The success of your joint replacement is closely linked to how well you follow your orthopaedic surgeon’s and physiotherapist’s instructions. You should soon notice a dramatic drop in joint pain, and a significant improvement in your mobility and ability to participate in normal daily activities.
Physiotherapy is a key part of recovery, and the sooner you start to move normally again, the sooner you will regain your independence. Your physiotherapist will also discuss plans for ongoing rehabilitation once you have left hospital.
